Per Wickstrom

A recovering alcoholic and drug addict with an inspiring story of redemption, Per Wickstrom helps people from all walks of life overcome their substance abuse issues at Best Drug Rehabilitation in the peaceful setting of Manistee, Michigan. Introduced to drugs and alcohol in his early teens, Per Wickstrom found solace in beer following a painful breakup with his then-girlfriend. From there, he developed a taste for vodka, tried smoking marijuana for the first time, and, at age 15, was kicked out of his house for drug and alcohol abuse.

While balancing his work responsibilities as a roofer and, later, car salesman, Per Wickstrom fed a debilitating cocaine and crack habit that lasted into his late 30s. The hard living led to serious consequences, such as waking up on a crackhouse floor with empty pockets and finding himself unable to enjoy spending time with family and friends. In 2000, Mr. Wickstrom discovered the treatment program Narconon and used it to overcome his drug and alcohol addiction permanently.

Three years after getting clean, Mr. Wickstrom founded his first addiction treatment center, Stone Hawk, in Battle Creek, Michigan. At this clinic, he and his counseling team helped more than 6,000 individuals regain control of their lives through various therapies. Today, Mr. Wickstrom continues these efforts with Best Drug Rehabilitation, which uses a broad range of treatment methodologies to help people to combat addiction, such as supervised detoxification, 12-step programs, cognitive behavior therapy, individual and group counseling, and several exercise, art, and spiritual programs to heal mind, body, and soul.
